Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Guidance

DMCC Guidance

The DMCC Guidance entails implementing the OECD Due Diligence Guidance’s 5-step framework for responsible sourcing of gold from conflict-affected and high-risk areas. The three DMCC accreditation initiatives for implementation of the DMCC Guidance and Review Protocol are as follows:

- Responsible Market Participant (RMP) launched 2014: Accreditation of responsible sourcing practices based on third-party independent assurance, designed for all gold market participants: traders, jewelers, processors and aggregators in the Dubai area.

- Market Deliverable Brand (MDB) launched 2014: An accreditation initiative available to refiners that requires certification of their production quality and technical capabilities as well as their responsible sourcing practices.

- Dubai Good Delivery (DGD) launched 2014: Accreditation goes beyond responsible sourcing practices to review all aspects of a refinery’s operations. Open to refineries with a minimum of 3 years of operations and producing at least 10 tonnes of gold annually.
