Common Control Mark

In order to standardize the legislation on the control of precious metals and to facilitate international trade, various countries including Switzerland have signed the Convention on the Control and Marking of Articles of Precious Metals (often referred to as the Vienna Convention). Each member country agrees to allow goods bearing the Common Control Mark (CCM) to be imported without further testing or marking to be marked with the CCM, a precious metal must bear a fineness mark, a responsibility mark and an office mark of tests.
