Welcome to the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie’s «FHH Certification platform» which is a service operated by the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie («FHH», «We», «Us»). The FHH Certification platform offers subscribers the opportunity to receive a certification by the FHH provided they answer the questions correctly and pass the test.

The test is made up of a series of multiple choice questions and requires online registration.

This Privacy Notice (the “Privacy Notice”) informs You about how we use Your personal data collected through the FHH Certification platform.

We are committed to protecting and respecting Your personal data.

This Privacy Notice applies to any individual who signs up to and uses the FHH Certification platform («You/Your»). For the purposes of this Privacy Notice, terms such as data controller, data processor, business operator and personal data shall bear the meaning ascribed to them by applicable data protection laws. The FHH is the data controller for the processing described in this Privacy Notice.

This Privacy Notice explains how the FHH uses and protects Your personal data and You should contact us should You have any questions or concerns. The personal data that we keep in the FHH Certification platform is kept to the minimum necessary to assess Your performance on the FHH Certification platform and to process Your payments and our online certification. Our intention is always to collect only the personal data which is strictly required to meet the objectives for which it is being used.

Article 1 − Your information that we collect and/or use

1.1 − We may collect and/or use the following personal data from and about You for the purposes set out in section 4:

1.1.1 − Information such as Your gender, date of birth, surname, first name, e-mail address, address, city, country and telephone number.

1.1.2 − Details of Your visits to the FHH Certification platform including but not limited to Your test scores, whether You have achieved accreditation status, time-stamping of visits, page views, traffic data and other communication data and the resources that You access.

1.1.3 − If You contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

All of the information processed in connection with the FHH Certification platform is mandatory: if this information is not processed it may hinder the provision of the FHH Certification platform services.

Article 2 − Cookies

2.1 − We may obtain information about Your general usage of the FHH Certification platform using a cookie file, which is a data file stored on the hard drive of Your computer or device. You can find more information about cookies at: www.allaboutcookies.org. The only cookies used on the FHH Certification platform are “strictly necessary cookies”. These cookies are essential in order to enable You to move around the FHH Certification platform and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the FHH Certification platform. Without these cookies, our services cannot be provided.

Article 3 − Security and where we store Your personal data

3.1 − The FHH Certification platform and the personal data that we have and/or collect from You through the FHH Certification platform is stored on a host server operated by one of our third-party suppliers, acting on our behalf as a data processor. We will keep Your personal data in accordance with required data protection compliance measures.

3.2 − Your data may be transferred to and stored at destinations outside the European Economic Area (lraquo;EEA»). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for our third-party service provider. The legislation in these countries may differ from that in the EEA. Such staff may be engaged in, amongst other things, the provision of support services.

3.3 − To the extent that we need Your consent to process Your personal data, then by accessing the FHH Certification platform, You agree to this transfer, storing or processing as described in this Privacy Notice. You also agree that the above consent is executed with the digital signature by providing it from the password protected account which uniquely identifies You and ticking the box next to the statement that You have read the Privacy Statement and information about cookies. The above consent is equivalent in its legal effect to a hard copy consent which is executed by hand and can be used in court as written evidence. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable data protection laws and in particular, where we transfer data from the EEA, we make use of standard contractual terms provided by European data protection legislation.

3.4 − All information You provide to us is stored on secure servers. Where we have given You (or where You have chosen) a password which enables You to access certain parts of the FHH Certification platform, You are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask You not to share Your password with anyone.

3.5 − Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet or over mobile networks is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect Your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of Your data transmitted to the FHH Certification platform or over mobile networks. Once we have received Your personal data, we will use strict procedures and security features against unauthorized or accidental access.

Article 4 − What will we use Your HH Certification platform information for?

4.1 − We may use information held about You in the following ways:

4.1.1 − To ensure Your successful logon to use the FHH Certification platform;

4.1.2 − To ensure that content on the FHH Certification platform is presented in the most effective manner for You and for Your computer or mobile device;

4.1.3 − To maintain a record of Your assessment history;

4.1.4 − To notify You about changes to the FHH Certification platform;

4.1.5 − For the purposes of performance management.

4.2 − We may aggregate data relating to Your use of the FHH Certification platform with data from other users in order to evaluate the global and/or regional success of the FHH Certification platform and evaluate the effectiveness of our materials. This is statistical data about our users’; learning actions and patterns and does not identify any individual.

4.3 − We may employ the services of third parties to help us in certain areas including the hosting of the FHH Certification platform. Such third parties may have access to Your information. However, at all times, We will control and be responsible for the use of Your information.

4.4 − Payment for access to the FHH Certification platform and our assessments are processed by the Ingenico Group. We are not responsible for payment processing or billing details or any other personal data collected by the Ingenico Group.

Article 5 − Disclosure of Your information

5.1 − We may disclose Your personal data for use in accordance with paragraph 4 above to:

5.1.1 − FHH staff involved in the accreditation and administration of the FHH Certification platform;

5.1.2 − The relevant FHH Certification platform system administrator, who will have incidental access for technical support purposes;

5.1.3 − Selected third-party suppliers in accordance with paragraph 4.3 above.

5.2 − Where You have consented to the provision of Your accreditation status to Your employer, we may disclose this to Your employer. We will only do this when we have confirmed this consent with You using the e-mail address provided by You on registration. We will not be able to provide Your employer with Your accreditation status unless You confirm such consent, in writing.

5.3 − We may also disclose Your personal data where required by law or regulations or as required by any competent judicial, governmental or regulatory body.

Article 6 – Your rights

6.1 − Upon written request, You may request that erroneous information about You be corrected. You may also have other rights under local law, such as canceling or objecting to the processing of Your personal data. For more information about this, please contact the FHH (see 8.1 below).

6.2 − The FHH Certification platform may, from time to time, contain links to and from external websites. If You follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before You submit any personal data to these websites.

Article 7 − Changes to our Privacy Notice

7.1 − Any changes we may make to our Privacy Notice in the future will be posted on this page.
